Medical Waste Disposal Claremore, OK

Best known as the birthplace and home of entertainer Will Rogers, Claremore, OK is the county seat of Rogers County and has a population of 18,581.When the residents of this small town become ill, they seek treatment at Claremore Regional Hospital or Claremore Indian Hospital, both of which do an excellent job of returning residents back to health. However, the medical waste created from these hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Claremore has to be disposed of properly in order to avoid an environmental disaster. MedPro Disposal is proud to offer Claremore its superior medical waste disposal services! It is important to realize that medical waste and standard household waste are two completely different things. Medical waste must be treated with extreme care in order to avoid potential transmission of pathogens and other infectious diseases. If an individual were to come in unprotected contact with this waste, it could lead to disastrous results.Medical waste is quite easy to identify and segregate from your normal trash stream. It includes used sharps, soaked bandages, gauze pads and IV bags, among other things. It is very important that as soon as these items are used, they are disposed of in the proper medical waste container in order to avoid the spread of pathogens. Failure to do so can lead to infections and contamination of sterile environments, which, according to the CDC, resulted in 17 million cases of infection in hospitals during 2011.While medical waste disposal is our specialty, we also provide other services to the Claremore area! Those include pharmaceutical disposal, as well as OSHA compliance. Our pharmaceutical disposal program is quite simple and designed to be stress-free for the facility in question. MedPro Disposal will send your practice a 2.5 gallon bucket that can be filled with unused and expired medications. Once that bucket reaches capacity, a pre-paid label is attached, and the bucket gets mailed to our disposal facility. The best part? There is only a one-time fee per bucket. Gone are the days of paying monthly for a service that you may only use once or twice a year.Along with our exceptional medical waste and pharmaceutical disposal services, is our OSHA compliance portal. This online portal is the most simple, cost-effective method of training all of your employees in the required OSHA courses. The portal allows an administrator to assign job-specific tests to individual employees, as well as track individual progress, or even assign group training. This eliminates the need to hire an outside source to come in and take away valuable work hours in order to train your staff.MedPro Disposal believes you should never overpay for a required service, which is why we strive to save our customers 20-40% over their previous waste hauler. When you bundle all of our services, your practice can save even more! Medical costs are rising every day, so every area of savings is important, which can then be passed onto your patients, making everyone happy!

About Claremore:

Claremore received its name from an Osage chief called “Gra-moi.” French traders in the area at the time pronounced the name as “Clairmont,” meaning “mountain with a clear view.” On June 25th, 1874, a United States post office was established. Shortly thereafter, in 1882, a clerk spelled the post office name incorrectly as Claremore, and it stuck.

A major factor in the growth of Claremore was the radium pools located underground in an area of the town. A man named George Eaton discovered an underground pool of water that smelled strongly of sulfur. The water was marketed as a cure to illnesses and soon after, bath house sprang up all over Claremore. Only one still stands today, but “Radium Town” is now located on present day 9th Street between Seminole and Dorothy.
