What is OSHA training?
OSHA training provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace. This training is a course that will either be taken via online or a consultant. Although this training cannot be conducted just anywhere, for OSHA outreach training, you must take this course at an OSHA authorized trainer. Many workers for the Department of Labor are required to have this training.
OSHA training is required in all types of workplaces across the country. From construction sites to laboratories, to hospitals and clinics, people from all walks of life must stay compliant to ensure safety of themselves and others.
Benefits of OSHA training:
Since 1971, OSHA workplace training has helped companies protect workers and avoid costly legal proceedings. Some of the other benefits that this training can provide are:
- Promoting safety
- Tailoring training to your facility
- Outreach training includes hazard avoidance, workers’ rights, employer’s responsibilities, and how to file a complaint
- Outreach training is available in languages other than English
