How we calculate medical waste pricing averages
The cost figures on our city pages come from real MedPro customer accounts. This page says exactly which accounts, how many, and what the numbers mean, so you can judge them for yourself.
What the number is
For each account, we record the yearly revenue MedPro won from it. A local average is the mean of that yearly amount across the accounts in the area, and the monthly figure we show is that average divided by 12. We round the monthly figure down to the nearest $5 when we say “about.” The median is the middle account: half the accounts are below it and half above.
Averages are pulled up by a few large facilities, so smaller practices usually pay less than the average and larger ones more. That is why we quote every facility individually.

What these numbers don't tell you
- They are history, not a price list. Your quote depends on your type of practice and its size, how much and what kind of waste you make, your containers, how often you need a pickup, and how we get to your containers.
- Accounts opened in different years were priced at the time, so the average for recent accounts is the better guide to today. The all-time figure is shown for the full record.
- Averages move as accounts are added and leave. We update them when we re-run the report and show the date.
